Document Scanner
About Document Scanner
Photograph or upload a document, drag its four corners onto the page's real edges, and it flattens the perspective into a clean, straight rectangle — add as many pages as you need, then download one PDF.
A photo of a printed page taken at an angle always comes out with the page looking like a trapezoid — near edge wide, far edge narrow, text subtly slanted. This tool corrects that: you place four corner markers on the actual edges of the document, and it mathematically un-warps that quadrilateral back into a flat rectangle, the same way a real flatbed scanner's output looks, but from a phone photo.
There's no automatic edge detection here, and that's a deliberate choice, not a missing feature — automatic detection is unreliable on a cluttered desk or a low-contrast page, and a confidently wrong crop is worse than a couple of seconds spent dragging four dots onto edges you can see perfectly well yourself. Once the corners are set, an optional grayscale or black-and-white mode gives text documents the crisp, high-contrast look people expect from "a scan" rather than "a photo of paper."
Add as many pages as the document needs — each one goes through its own capture-and-straighten step — and they combine into a single PDF, one page per photo, in the order you added them. Everything happens on your device: nothing is uploaded anywhere at any point.
What you can use it for
- Turn a photographed receipt, letter, or ID card into a proper PDF
- Digitize a multi-page printed document with just a phone camera
- Straighten out the perspective distortion from a photo taken at an angle
- Get a clean black-and-white scan of a text page without a physical scanner
How it works, step by step

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No — the photo is decoded, corrected, and turned into a PDF entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why do I have to drag the corners myself instead of it detecting the page automatically?
Automatic edge detection is unreliable on a cluttered background or a low-contrast page, and a confidently wrong auto-crop is a worse outcome than a few seconds of dragging four dots onto edges you can already see. Manual placement is always correct.
Can I scan a multi-page document?
Yes — add as many pages as you need, one photo at a time, and they're combined into a single PDF in the order you added them.
Does it work without a camera, like on a laptop?
Yes — choose "Upload a photo" instead of the camera at any point, using a photo you already have.
What does the black & white mode do?
It converts the flattened page to pure black and white based on brightness, giving text documents the crisp, high-contrast look of a real scan instead of a photo's natural color and shadow.
