About Age Calculator
Enter a date of birth and get an exact, calendar-accurate age: years, months and days, plus totals in days, weeks and months, and how long until the next birthday.
Age sounds simple until you try to calculate it properly. Months have different lengths, leap years add a day, and someone born on 31 August is a month older on 30 September, not on 31 September. This calculator walks the real calendar rather than approximating a month as 30 days, so the answer matches how age is actually counted.
As well as the usual years-months-days figure, it gives cumulative totals — how many days, weeks and months you have been alive — and a countdown to your next birthday.

Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated exactly?
By counting whole years from the birth date, then whole months, then the remaining days — following the actual calendar. This is why the day count can vary: it depends on the lengths of the months involved.
Does it account for leap years?
Yes. Leap days are handled correctly in both the exact age and the total day count.
What about someone born on 29 February?
The calculation is calendar-accurate, so in non-leap years the birthday is treated as falling at the end of February. Different legal systems handle this differently, so check the rule that applies if it matters formally.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the second date to any date you like, not just today.
Is my date of birth stored?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded or saved on a server.
