About Passport Photo Maker

Crop a photo to the 35 × 45 mm size used by Passport Seva, PAN card, visa applications and most Indian government and exam forms. Guides show where the head should sit; the export is 300 DPI print quality.

Indian passport and PAN photos are 35 × 45 mm with a plain white or light background and the face centred and clearly visible. This tool sets that size, overlays head-position guides, and exports 413 × 531 pixels at 300 DPI.

Most exam and job portals (SSC, UPSC, railways, banks) also want 35 × 45 mm but add a file-size cap such as 20 KB or 50 KB — size the photo here first, then use the Image Resizer to hit the KB limit. The photo is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

What you can use it for

  • Make a photo for a new or renewed Indian passport (Passport Seva).
  • Prepare a PAN card or Aadhaar-linked form photo.
  • Size a photo for an SSC / UPSC / bank exam portal before resizing it to the KB limit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the passport photo size for India?

35 × 45 mm, which is 413 × 531 pixels at 300 DPI. The background should be plain white or off-white.

Does this meet Passport Seva requirements?

It produces the correct size and lets you position the face correctly. Passport Seva also requires a plain light background and neutral expression — photograph a plain wall and the optional brighten step helps.

My exam form wants the photo under 20 KB — can this do that?

Size it here, then open the result in the Image Resizer and set a 20 KB target.
