Wi-Fi QR Code Generator
About QR Code Generator
Turn your Wi-Fi network name and password into a QR code. A guest scans it with their phone's camera and gets a "Join network" prompt — no typing a long password, no reading it off a sticky note.
This generates a real WIFI: format code — the same standard both Android's and iOS's built-in camera apps already recognise as "join this network", not a link to a page with instructions. Enter your network name, password and security type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3 covers almost every modern router), and the code is ready to print or display immediately.
It's built for the household or small-office case: a printed card by the router, a frame on the wall for guests, or a QR code taped inside a rental property's welcome folder. Anyone who scans it joins instantly, and you never have to say the password out loud or spell it out.
Nothing is uploaded — the code is generated in your browser and the WIFI: payload it encodes only exists on your own device and in the printed or displayed code itself.
What you can use it for
- Print a Wi-Fi QR code card for guests at home
- Post a Wi-Fi QR code in an office reception or meeting room
- Include a Wi-Fi QR code in a rental property's welcome guide
- Skip reading a long WPA password out loud to a guest
Frequently asked questions
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No — the QR code is generated entirely in your browser. Your network name and password never leave your device.
Does this work for WPA3 networks?
Yes — select WPA/WPA2/WPA3 as the security type; phones auto-detect the specific WPA version when they scan.
What if my network is hidden?
Check the "This network is hidden" option — the code will tell the phone to look for the network by name rather than expecting it to be broadcast.
