Image Tools
Everyday image jobs — get a photo under a file-size limit, sort a folder of camera dumps, produce a passport photo, or pull text out of a screenshot — done in the browser instead of a desktop app.
Background Remover
Remove a solid or edge-connected background from a photo, refine tolerance, click to resample, and download a transparent PNG.
OpenCrop Image
Drag to crop, pick a ratio like 1:1 or 16:9, or set an exact size in pixels.
OpenHEIC Converter
Convert HEIC/HEIF photos to JPG or PNG — one file, or a zip for a batch. Nothing uploaded.
OpenImage Format Converter
Convert WebP, PNG, JPG, AVIF, SVG or HEIC to JPG, PNG or WebP — one file, or a zip for a batch. Nothing uploaded.
OpenImage Resizer
Compress a photo to a target size in KB for a form upload, or scale it to exact dimensions — JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, nothing uploaded.
OpenImage to Text
Add an image, get the text as something you can copy or save — OCR runs on your device, nothing uploaded. English.
OpenPassport Photo Maker
Upload a photo, line the head up with the guides, and download a print-ready passport photo at the exact mm size — plus a print sheet. Nothing uploaded.
OpenPhoto Duplicate Finder
Groups duplicate and near-duplicate photos so you can see what to clean up. Never deletes anything.
OpenPhoto Editor
Crop, rotate/flip, adjust, and apply a quick filter to a photo, then download it.
OpenPhoto Organizer
Pick a folder, organize photos and videos into dated event folders, and clean up burst duplicates — entirely on your device.
OpenVideo Compressor
Reduce video file size with local bitrate presets, sample estimates, and MP4/WebM download depending on browser support.
OpenVideo Editor
Trim, rotate, crop, and mute a video, then download the result.
OpenThese tools solve distinct, very common image and video problems. Image Resizer targets an exact file size or exact pixel dimensions — for the form that rejects anything over 20KB or the upload that demands precisely 1920×1080. Photo Editor handles the quick everyday fixes — crop, rotate, brightness/contrast/saturation, a one-click filter. Video Editor does the same for clips — trim, rotate, crop, mute. Photo Organizer reads a folder you choose, groups photos and videos into dated event folders, and can flag near-duplicate burst shots for cleanup — all without uploading a single file. Passport Photo Maker crops to the exact specification for a passport, visa, or ID photo and can lay out a printable sheet. Image to Text runs OCR entirely in your browser to pull text out of a screenshot or photo of a document.
None of these send your images or videos to a server. Processing happens on the canvas element and `MediaRecorder` API your browser already has, and OCR runs through a WebAssembly engine downloaded once and cached — a photo of your ID, a folder of family pictures, a home video, or a private document never leaves your device.
They're built for the searches people actually run — "resize image to 20kb", "passport photo maker", "organize photos by date", "extract text from screenshot", "crop and rotate photo", "trim video online" — real, specific jobs.
What you can use it for
- Shrink a photo under a government form's exact file-size limit (20KB, 50KB, 100KB, 200KB, 1MB)
- Resize an image to an exact pixel resolution without distorting it
- Crop, rotate, or adjust a photo, or trim and rotate a short video clip
- Sort thousands of camera-roll photos and videos into dated folders in one pass
- Generate a passport, visa, or ID photo cropped to the official size
- Pull selectable text out of a screenshot, scanned page, or photo of a document
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Resizing, organizing, cropping, and text extraction all happen locally in your browser using the Canvas API and, for OCR, a WebAssembly engine that downloads once and runs on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Which browsers support Photo Organizer?
Photo Organizer needs the File System Access API, which is currently Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers only — not Safari or Firefox. The other image tools work in any modern browser.
Can I get an exact pixel size, not just "roughly that big"?
Yes — Image Resizer's "Exact size" mode crops to fill the target dimensions exactly, rather than fitting inside them and leaving the aspect ratio untouched.
How accurate is the text extracted by Image to Text?
It uses a real OCR engine, so accuracy depends on image quality — a clear, well-lit screenshot or scan gives clean results; a blurry photo or handwriting will have more errors. Always proofread extracted text before relying on it.
